execrable wi-fi, nuclear warning sites intercepting radio signals and then transmitters out of action: enough to preclude any blog for several months. During that time migration started in late July, and most recently 25km2 of nearby moorland fires have kippered us all.
Having to have a bag packed by the front door, and a car filled with fuel in case the mooted evacuation call comes/ came has focused the mind a little.
I'll try and return to the fray in the next week or so, but in the meantime i'm going to concentrate on the cloud generator on the moorland above. As long as the wind is in the east we are little affected by smoke. S or SW and we go blue, the view drops, trees fade into the background and the smoke alarms in the house start to chirp. Its not cricket(s).
